Thank you to Regenerative Lifestyles and madelife for sharing WASTE LAND. This film was a great story about the transformative and inspirational power of art. Art and beauty are positive enhancements to any design, that can help to achieve the highest goals, in the form of interest from the public, income, and/or increased positive feelings among those working in the space on a daily basis. With income from art sales, Tião, who was featured in the film, was able to advance his organization, ACAMJG, the Association of Recycling Pickers of Jardim Gramacho, provide skills training to the catadores, and host an international conference. Thank you to artist Vik Muniz, Tião, and other catadores for sharing your visions and collaborating to create this inspirational work.
